Kentucky Unplugged, a collaboration between The Train Station and Branstetter Music Management, is an intimate listening experience that brings the heart and soul of Appalachian music to life. Hosted at The Train Station, our historic venue in the foothills of Kentucky, this event celebrates songwriters, storytellers, and acoustic musicians in a setting designed for pure listening pleasure.

 

With moody stage lighting, elegant chandeliers, and deep blue Americana decor, Kentucky Unplugged offers a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that blends Southern charm with a 1920s speakeasy aesthetic. Here, every note and lyric takes center stage ”free from distractions” allowing artists to connect deeply with their audience.

 

Whether you're a music lover seeking an authentic, raw performance or an artist looking for a stage where your craft is truly heard, Kentucky Unplugged is the perfect destination. Join us for an unforgettable evening of storytelling through song, where the music speaks louder than the noise.

The Train Station is a unique event space nestled in the Appalachian foothills of Kentucky, blending all genres of music with the intimacy of a 1920s speakeasy. It serves as the home base for Resilient Knights, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting military veterans through peer support, art therapy, and community events.

 

     The venue itself is a large, open space with a polished wooden floor, a stage at one end, and balconies with additional seating, creating both an intimate and grand atmosphere. Its dark blue and brown leather decor, accented with chandeliers, evokes a blend of elegance and rustic charm. Considered one of the best sounding venues in the state.

 

      The Train Station also houses Kentucky Unplugged, a listening room experience highlighting Kentucky singer-singwriters. Offered every first and third Friday of the month and watch for special events.

      Join The Train Station for a night of line dancing. From line dance lessons on Monday and Thursday nights, to Saturday night bands and DJs, our dance floor is one of the biggest Kentucky has to offer. 

 

     Beyond entertainment, The Train Station is a place of community and healing, offering veterans a fallback room for rest, workshops in hand carving and survival skills, and plans for transitional housing. With an eye toward expansion, the venue is also developing a state-of-the-art farm-to-table kitchen and incorporating immersive experiences like a hidden entrance, vintage lighting, and an outdoor patio to enhance its speakeasy vibe

 

     It’s a place where music, storytelling, and camaraderie come together—where hard work, heart, and history create something truly special.
